When I left my church staff position over a year ago, Trena and I thought we were off to plant a church in Colorado. After 15 amazing months we have come to a different conclusion. We have decided to stay in Texas and plant Elevation Church right here in Flower Mound! There are more factors in making this decision than I can go into, but we are both confident that it is a God-led decision. Our mission stays the same, to live the great commission and great commandment. We will love God, love others and make disciples. We will just be doing it here in Flower Mound, TX rather than in Castle Rock, CO.
Our plan is to start as a small group in our home in January 2011 and let God grow it from there. We are excited to be allowed the privilege of continuing the ministry God began in us years ago. We are even more excited to be able to do it in this community. Two out of three people in Flower Mound have no church home and no church family. That is unacceptable to us and we feel compelled to impact this community with the Gospel, building a body of believers that will make a real difference in peoples' lives. We hope you will join us in person or support us in prayer as we follow God on this exciting journey!
